Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parents and Carers,
What an unusual start we have already made to the New Year.
Please find information regarding school closure during the January-February 2021 lockdown:
In line with guidance from the Government, we shall be closed for the foreseeable future to all but those children of keyworkers and those children who are considered to be vulnerable.
The current position is that schools will remain closed until the review on the 15th February 2021, when we shall keep you informed of next steps, as and when we know ourselves. Some of you may be unaware that schools find out at the same time as parents and carers which arrangements need to be made, and so if it is short notice we apologise, but we don’t know any more than the rest of the population until the Prime Minister makes his announcements!
If we have do any information ahead of this date from any source, we shall keep you informed by text, on the website and Facebook.
Thank you for your ongoing patience and support.
Kind regards,
Julie Rischer and Jo Yardley
Co-Executive Headteachers
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you may be aware, there has been a government announcement stating that they would support the closure of schools on the last Friday of term.
We have considered this option and, in light of the late communication from the Department for Education, and its impact on childcare arrangements, we have decided that school will be open on the last Friday in line with the original dates that were set in accordance with Nottinghamshire Local Authority.
Kind regards,
Julie Rischer and Jo Yardley
Co-Exec Headteachers
Entry times for children must be staggered to minimise large groups of adults on school grounds. Please come on time, but if you are late you must take your child to the office where they will be accepted by a member of staff. Parents are not allowed inside the building.

To avoid crossing bubbles at the end of the day Reception and Nursery’s home time has been revised to 3.05pm.
If you have siblings in different bubbles who need to travel together, they can come at the time of the earliest child’s start time and leave when the last child finishes their school day.
e.g. If you have a child in Reception and a child in Year 2 both children can be dropped off at the earliest time (8.45am) and then collected at the latest time (3.20pm).
Dear Parent’s and Carers,
We realise how anxious it must be sending your children to school. We are working really hard to try and keep everyone as safe as possible.
We can all play our parts, sticking to the rule of 6, keeping children off if they have any symptoms and adhering to social distancing everywhere, not just on school grounds.
The children have settled really well and it’s lovely to see them in school. School is the best place for the children to be for their academic and mental wellness.
If you have any concerns or specific problems you want to discuss please ring the office in the first instance and will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Mrs Rischer, Mrs Yardley and Miss Butler
Dear parents/carers,
We are sure that some of you are confused and worried after the Prime Ministers announcement last night.
We just wanted to let you know that whatever the reopening looks like and whoever is allowed to attend it is still up to parents to decide whether it is safe for their children.
You know, hopefully that we will do our very best to keep them safe whilst they are at school but we will not be fining, or insisting that you do send your children should you decide that you are unhappy with it.
June 1st is still a long way away and what we don’t know at the moment is any details of how this will happen and hopefully over the next week we will be able to start to plan a safe return for our staff and children.
We are desperate to see them. We are desperate to get back to normal, but we do need to keep staff and children and parents safe whilst we do this.
AS soon as we have a plan we will share this with you and then you can decide what it is you want to do for your family.
Still stay safe. Stay alert. Miss you.
